IMA Concerts

IMA Concerts give our clients an opportunity to experience performing live with a safe and supportive audience in a professional venue.

IMA Concerts are our client's favourite event. You'll have the chance to get up on stage with our team of amazing mentors and perform a song of your choice in a pro venue with all of the best gear available. IMA Concerts are bi-annual, usually in June and November.

We run two separate concerts on the day. One is for our adult clients and one is for our clients who are under the age of 18. The music that we have performed at Independent Music Concerts has ranged from Karnivool and Metallica, through to Fiona Apple and Paramore. From Elvis Costello to Elvis Presley with some Jazz, Funk and Nordic Viking Metal thrown in! Our Concerts are really good fun and are open to all current clients of Independent Music.

Our Next Concert is on the 2nd June 2024 at 'The Back Room' in Annerley

How to get involved

Chat with your mentor about what song you'd like to choose. Once you've chosen a suitable song, your mentor will let the band know so that they can start learning your song ASAP.
Book a rehearsal. We do a ten minute rehearsal with each client on the Friday (18+) and Saturday (U18) before the concert. Please don't book on the wrong day, as the band for the two concerts may be different and they will not know your song.
Book your tickets for the gig! Friends and family can purchase a 'Supporter' ticket, you'll need to grab a 'Performers' ticket.
